Beaches
The beach seen in the view from the balcony, Praia do Angrinha, is a 2 minute walk away, Praia Grande, 5 minutes. Other nearby beaches are beautiful and varied. Golden sand, clear green water, small coves, wide bays, low cliffs, picturesque family owned beach bars.
Praia do Angrinha
From the apartment it is 2 minutes on foot to Praia do Angrinha, the Fishermen’s Beach, or 5 minutes to Praia Grande, a long sandy beach ideal for water sports, sunbathing or walking. Both beaches are beautiful, with a backdrop of low cliffs, picturesque coves and golden sand.

Restaurants. Shopping. The village shops, cafes, bars and restaurants – excellent food, are a 5 minute walk through the old narrow cobbled streets of this lovely, very Portuguese, village. Although the local shops can supply all your needs there are larger supermarkets within a few minutes drive.
Within a short drive there is a very pleasant new shopping complex, Algarve Shopping, with cinemas and a variety of restaurants and on the other side of the river Portimao offers a complete change of scene with a variety of night clubs etc.
There is a water taxi from the village for a trip across the river to Portimao.
Local activities - walking, fishing, cycling, surfing, windsurfing, paragliding, sailing, beach volley ball, golf, water skiing, canoeing. Small enclosed children’s play area on Praia Grande (swings, slide etc.)
Excursions – A Pirate Ship leaves from Portimao Marina daily (can be watched from the balcony). It explores some of the beaches that are inaccessible from the land, and can be arranged in the village, as can other excursions.
Attractions/Places to visit – Monchique. Faro. Slide and Splash waterpark. Zoomarine.

TRAVEL

Faro Airport is approximately 45 minutes by car, taxi about 40 euros. A car is not essential as all daily needs can be met in the village.
We can arrange taxis, car hire etc.
